  • Booked a couple of reservations for hotels with BJ's travel



    In regards to booking hotels, I will never do again with BJ's Travel! First booking was on Gulf side of Tampa, Blind Pass, St. Pete Beach! Filthy bathroom. Desk Clerk told us the cleaning lady didn't finish cleaning because she went home sick.(have pictures) Next booking I had was for International Palms Oceanfront Resort Cocoa Beach, online had great reviews and pictures.   • Recent cruise to Alaska



    My family has been planning to have a cruise to Alaska, and we looked around to find the best deal to meet our budget. As BJ's member, we found that BJ's offer is most less expensive. So my wife and I called the BJ's travel and talked to the agent, Chris. He is wonderful. He is very knowledgeable, considerate, and enthusiastic to get every details planned for us.   • Poor disclosure



    Be careful and read every little thing when booking any service with them. I booked a small 2 day cruise for the Fall and unfortunately had to cancel the cruise and while I was entitled to receive a full refund from Norwegian I was socked with $100.00 cancelation fee by BJ's Travel. Now this information was contained in the emailed paperwork but that was received after the cruise was booked online. This should have been disclosed on the screen prior to booking.     I rented a car through BJ's travel from Enterprise (confirmation # 791419750COUNT). When I got to enterprise they showed me 3 vehicles. I requested a mid size SUV. 2 of the vehicles I would call small and the 3rd was my own car a 2004 Jeep. Yes they showed me my own car! For an extra charge they had a minivan and the Buick Enclave. I guess having a reservation meant nothing. I ended up with the Enclave which cost me an additional $80.   • charged twice



    I just booked an all inclusive to aruba through bjs travel. They booked it through one vendor (charging my credit card) cancelled then booked through another vendor. I was not made aware of this until I checked my banking statement. I called bjs travel and they will do nothing. The refund (for the originally booked trip) will take 5 business days and I have to wait. Meanwhile they have also charged me for the actual trip that was booked. More...

    I have addressed this with BJ's customer service. I was not happy with the way it was resolved. I had booked a cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines going from Boston to Bermuda June 7th-14th 2013. My daughter mentioned to me that I should call BJ's travel and see if they had a better deal. Needless to say I was hesitant about switching the booking since I had already paid the deposit to Norwegian directly.   • Double booking



    I booked online one room in a NJ hotel, since I did not see any e-mail confirmation I called BJ's travel where all customer service answers the phone in french and I was told for every single of them that I would get my confirmation soon. Well ...I'm still waiting. I called the hotel to confirm the reservation and they tell me that I have 2 rooms reserved and I should call BJ's Travel who they should cancel the reservation with the hotel.   • 110% price guarantee is a fraud



    I booked a vacation package through BJ's and then found a cheaper package (same exact itinerary) through Travelocity. I saw that BJ's offered a 110% Best Price guarantee. At least, that is what is displayed on the BJ's website and on the phone message when you call BJ's Travel. However, when you actually try to claim the 110%, they will only match the price from the other travel site. Plus, they gave me no reason why.     Hi , this is a weekly customer since last 10 years since yesterday I went to newport bjs adress is 396 Luis munoz Marin blvd , jersey city,NJ 07310 .I was late to the store and requested for soya milk for my daughter since my daughter is alergic to regular and we only get through bjs only since no other shop carries that brand . We were quoted a price for a week vacation for our family of 6 to cancun. I wanted to use two credit cards and was told they had to apply to other vendor apple vacation. their systems were down on day one. Called me next day to say price was lower and they locked me in. systems were still down and had to wait. i was worried i would loose price if waited any longer but was told no problem. price was locked in. 3rd day i was called and told all set. gave credit card information. after long hold came back to tell me credit card went thru but something wrong with vendor system. Called me back 4 hours later to tell me trip would now cost 750 more due to cost had expired. was told nothing they could do. Had them book trip anyway to not miss out on vacation. called supervisor and explained situation. was told we would get a call back in 7 days with their finding. still now word after 10 days. Agent helping will not return my phone calls. Just noticed she had last name wrong on airline ticket. this will be a problem with traveling! very frustrating cannot get return call. I would never do business with this travel company again. seems they dont care once they get your money!!

One conversation I asked her if I paid the deposit with the MC and then the final payment would that be the same as paying all up front to get the credit. She said it did not matter as long as it was all paid by MC. Well I called Norwegian directly and they returned my deposit. I then called BJ's spoke with the same agent and booked the cruise. Several weeks ago I went through the documents and saw that there was no mention of the Master Card credit. I called BJ's I was not able to get the same agent but spoke to someone from customer service and ask them about the credit. She said that they would have a supervisor look into it.And if there was an error they would credit me. She said it might take a few days. Well after no call several weeks later I called back and after explaining what happened they said that they had listened to a tape conversation the day I booked the trip and no mention of the MC was made. I said well we had spoken several times what about those tapes they explained they only taped the conversation when you actually book the trip. I said to them well can you explain to me why I would have cancelled a trip that I had already booked for less money with Norwegian directly to book with BJ"s for more money if there was not an advantage for me it just does not make sense. They told me after research on my second call that there was no credit card promotion. I do not think I imagined my conversation with the agent she shared the same name as my daughter so I know it was not another travel agency. I only dealt with Norwegian directly and BJ's I also told them that I thought it was unprofessional that after my original call about the MC they did not have the courtesy to call me with the results of the inquiry. This cruise is a gift for my daughter's graduation I am very unhappy with the way the whole situation was handled. I would not recommend BJ's Travel service at this point in time I have in the last 4 years gone on two cruises this if I go will be my third so I think they have lost a potentially great customer!
